Louise and I will be doing an event together at this year’s Word Festival in Aberdeen. Beyond Noir: Zoe Strachan & Louise Welsh is at 4.00 PM on Saturday 15th May at Buchanan’s, Woodend Barn, Banchory. Tickets are £5 (£3) and you can book them here.
Check out the full programme for the festival too; as it’s the 10th anniversary it’s a particularly good one. And – if another reminder is needed! – Sublimation, my short opera with Nick Fells, premieres later in the evening on the 15th at the Elphinstone Hall, King’s College. I’ve heard the first read throughs of some of the other Five:15 operas now and they sound amazing, so I can’t wait for the full performance.
